One Page Rules Part Three: Last Overview?

 It has been a while but I have more fun pages full of pictures and a handful of images covering more info and a couple pictures of play, albeit without a ton of rules detail.

 

 Yes I am using a variety of miniatures and terrain boards from all sorts of companies.  And ideally?  I will do it even moreso in the future!

One Page Rules Part Two: I Guess it is a Blog Thing?

 Yeah.  I guess so.  Ideally I will talk more about rules and stuff and not just a general overview of how things work but right now it is more just how the whole thing is going.

 Hopefully the next part will include talking about the models in the first set I bought, the rules I purchased and got printed, and maybe even a mini battle report?  Who knows?

One Page Rules Part One: Or How I Learned to Go Generic and Love my Minis

 So yes.  I still function more or less.  And I have been working in the miniature building mines.  All thanks to https://www.onepagerules.com/ So let me bring back my comic style because I want to and I feel like it in between whatever games I have been replaying.  (Bloodborne, Battletech 2018, and Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord.)

Well I already have the pictures and ideas for the next installment in the work folder so hopefully sometime soon we can see the depths of my loony current obsession in tabletop gaming.  Or maybe not.  We know how I do.  Or I know how I do by now.  Let's hope we see each other really soon and I don't like get distracted by something like a cookie.

A Computer and Themed Games Collection Post

I do still function kind of.  Ish.  Mostly.  But I've not had much a burning need to post stuff nobody cares about so I have been a bit silent.  I might have some One Page Rules content soon but it depends on if I have time, desire, and most importantly CAN STOP PLAYING THE GAMES OF FROM SOFTWARE.

Even getting 100% on Bloodborne has not fed my needs.  It's like the needs one has as a teenager.  Unending and incredibly disruptive to getting anything accomplished.  

But as I need lazy image hosting and want to show stuff off, let me share my Ultima collection and similarly themed groups of pictures, especially so I can share at Something Awful which doesn't tend to keep Discord images up long.

Ultima one of the most foundational yet now mostly forgotten series of games.  Blame EA.  Blame technology.  Blame it's kind of hacky has been loony creator.  Blame time.

I love the series in spite of everything though.  Enough to try to have every game in some legit physical form and the clue books.

Even the really really bad ones.  Or ones with potential like Ultima 9 which is a pretty good game when it wants to work correctly (rarely) but a terrible Ultima.

Even all the spinoffs have a home with me.

There were TONS of spinoffs.  Some of the spinoffs got spinoffs but stuff like System Shock and Bioshock I don't consider Ultima but they are cousins at the minimum.

And of course the online MMO which I probably would not have played long or at all if it wasn't Ultima.  The game was so short sighted on human nature I was killed by another player within a minute of my first log in before I had even learned how to move!

As I am experimenting with Blogger as a tablet app I'll leave cousins and rivals like Wizardry for another post.  

Xenos Rampant: Tunnel Brats Part 1

   So what is this all about?  Well the comic should explain it but for many moons I have been pondering rules for a basic AI system to fight miniatures battles in and now with Xenos Rampant I think I have both a good use of it and ideas to add to the fun of the game and make use of my entirely too large collection of games and tiles.  If one ruleset let's me use a bunch of things without having to remember and or relearn rules for each and every one of them?

  Well why the heck not?

Xenos Rampant Battle Report Comic Number One of... Well This is Me So Uhh.. One to Five Probably?

 Yes indeed I will make no bones pretending this will become a regular thing once more or whatever though I do quite enjoy this game.  Sadly my opponent seemed mild on it overall but much of that could be because he is quite taken with Warhammer Underworlds as it is even though most of the models could easily be used in Xenos or Dragon Rampant.  (Fantasy type Vampires and Ghosts versus AT 43 or 40K forces?  Warpath Universe?  So many fun options!)

  But we are at least getting one battle report and ideally one more from whenever the heck we can make schedules mesh up for the rematch with said switching of sides.  I am getting back into the groove of using Comic Life and this version being 3 with a much beefier computer and bigger screen makes it a bit easier and faster.  I might add in more fun effects and the like next time!

I Have Returned! With the Good News About Xenos Rampant!

 Yes.  I finally got and went through the hoops to both get the newest version of Comic Life for my current inexpensive but mad powerful 12th Gen Intel  i3 PC rocking a Geforce 3060, 32 gigs of 3200 DDR Ram, and a pair of SSD drives, NVME and SATA which gives me massive power over the old PPC G5 iMac.

I haven't been heavily gaming until the last year or so and even then I could argue its been light and semi casual, mostly Warhammer Underworlds and Warhammer 40K RPG Deathwatch/Black Crusade.

But I discovered a new game that might let me use all of my plastic dollies with guns and gun like objects.
